Resources for Incident Management of Bomb Threats

The following links on the page will direct you to several resources which may be useful in the development of operating procedures and increasing situational awareness in the events of a bomb threat.

Sarasota County Area Transit has a documented an operating procedure for bomb threats.  A bomb threat is any written or oral communication indicating that an explosive device will be detonated.  This document instructs staff how to effectively respond in this event.

LeeTran has a Bomb Threat and Suspicious Packages Awareness checklist to review to ensure an agency is adequately prepared to respond to these types of incidents.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) has published a ATF Bomb Threats and Physical Security Planning guide designed to help both the public and private sectors prepare for the potential threat of explosives-related violence.
