Bus Transit Incident Investigation Video

The Bus Transit Incident Investigation Toolbox provides transit systems with an overview of the procedures and guidelines needed to conduct transit incident investigations. The Toolbox contains a 42-minute video and a pocket guide that provides transit systems with an overview of the responsibilities, procedures, and guidelines for conducting transit incident investigations. The toolbox also contains the recently published Transportation Safety Institute (TSI) Guidelines for Recordability  to assist transit agencies in determining recordability or preventability of collisions and incidents including samples of policies, procedures and forms that can be use in incident investigation.  A copy of the Florida Bus Incident Reporting, Tracking, and Analysis System database is also included as part of the Toolbox.     The Toolbox does not replace existing federally offered training courses, but is intended to assist transit systems in implementing and complying with State requirements and best practices for bus transit incidents investigation.
